"text": "100\nThe answer is to design with you, not merely for you.\nUNICEF's December 2025 Guidance on AI and Children says\nchildren's rights still receive insufficient attention in AI policy, law,\ngovernance, and development. It calls for safety, privacy,\ntransparency, accountability, inclusion, AI literacy, and meaningful\nchild participation across the AI life cycle. [38]\nAdults have no right to use protection as an excuse to erase your\nagency.\nAdults have no right to use agency as an excuse to abandon\nprotection.\nYou deserve both.\nYou deserve food before a lecture on resilience.\nA safe home before a productivity app.\nA school with teachers, libraries, art, science, music, play,\ndisability access, clean air, and time to think.\nHealth care that does not wait for emergency.\nA planet treated as a home rather than a quarterly report.\nA childhood not permanently recorded for strangers.\nA private thought that does not become a prediction sold against\nyou.\nA human explanation when a system says no.\nA right to correct the file.\nA right to leave the platform.\nA right to play without being optimized.\nA right to be bored without a machine rushing to fill the silence.\nA right to be angry at adults.\nA right to know when adult wars have already been placed on\nyour shoulders.\nAdults have failed whenever a child is told that survival in a\nconflict zone is normal. More than one in six children globally were\nliving in areas affected by conflict in the latest UNICEF estimates.\nNew military technologies, including AI, robotics, biometrics, and\ncyber operations, can deepen the danger by striking infrastructure,\nexposing personal data, and accelerating decisions adults still pretend\nare under control. [31]\nOur solidarity cannot begin with the lie that children are outside\nthe battlespace.\nThey are already inside it as civilians, refugees, recruits, targets,\nstudents, users, data sources, and future personnel.\nAdults do not get to export all risk downward.\n",
