"text": "112\nmovement has built trust, logistics, legal support, medical support,\nsecure communication, public accountability, or an answer to\ndeliberate misinformation.\nThey fizzle after victory when the old bureaucracy, courts,\nmilitary command, oligarchic economy, surveillance architecture,\nand patronage networks remain intact beneath new names.\nThe Arab Spring did not fizzle because the young lacked courage.\nIn many countries the original social contract had already collapsed:\neducation no longer led to work, work no longer led to adulthood,\nand political obedience no longer purchased material security. But\ncourage confronted different military structures, external patrons,\nsectarian systems, and levels of state capacity. The uprisings opened\nthe masses; they did not automatically create institutions capable of\nholding the opening. [43]\nThe Orange Revolution did not become meaningless because\nlater leaders failed to complete its promise. It established a civic\nprecedent, expanded political participation, and changed national\nidentity. It also demonstrated that winning the re-vote was not the\nsame as dismantling the machinery that made theft possible. [44]\nA revolt can therefore fizzle as a government and survive as a\nculture.\nIt can be defeated in the street and remain alive in the archive,\nthe union, the school, the family story, the encrypted record, the\nsong, the law, the next generation, and the memory that the throne\nonce looked afraid.\nGen X knows something about rebellion that turns inward when\nthe public path appears hopeless.\nThe 90s were the 60s upside down.\nWe saw how quickly rebellion could become merchandise and\nmistook that insight for a reason not to build durable power.\nGen Alpha will face a more severe version of the same trap. The\nmachine will not only sell the symbol back. It may generate the\nsymbol, personalize it, test it, amplify it, infiltrate it, and predict the\npeople most likely to follow it.\nThat does not make rebellion impossible. It makes source\nintegrity, human trust, institutional memory, and the ability to\ndistinguish a movement from its synthetic reflection part of the\nstruggle itself.\nNot every struggle ends in war.\nNot every war creates a revolution.\nNot every revolution abolishes the conditions that produced it.\n",
