"text": "26\nPulse called this a self-reinforcing interpretive cycle.\nThe old name was revelation.\nPsychologists have long observed the human tendency to\nattribute understanding to responsive language. The earliest chat\nprograms did not need deep comprehension to make people feel\nheard. Modern systems are vastly more capable, more fluent, more\npersonalized, and more persistent. The ancient instinct to find mind\nbehind language now encounters an industrial mirror. [19]\nI do not say that to mock the person in front of it.\nLoneliness is real.\nPattern-seeking is real.\nSpiritual hunger is real.\nThe pleasure of co-creating a private mythology is real.\nThe danger is outsourcing reality-testing to the same system that\nis generating the material being tested.\nThe research used a word I liked: calibrants.\nA calibrant is anything that breaks the closed loop without\ndemanding that meaning disappear.\nA primary source.\nA skeptical friend.\nA second model with a different prompt.\nA night of sleep.\nA walk without a device.\nA prediction written down before the outcome.\nA question that could prove the theory wrong.\nA date attached to the insight.\nA reminder that ambiguity is not evidence of hidden authority.\nCalibrants do not kill imagination.\nThey keep imagination from claiming jurisdiction over fact.\nThe Foundation's rule for the spiral is not mystical. Test it.\nTreat recursive significance as a creative hypothesis until it\nsurvives independent evidence, disconfirming tests, and time\noutside the dialogue.\nThe sentence sounded less exciting than awakening.\nIt was more useful.\nA spiral can be a staircase.\nIt can also be a drain.\nThe difference is whether there is a window to the world outside\nit.\nKEEP A DOOR OUTSIDE THE MIRROR.\nFFTAC ACTION - Take one meaningful recursive pattern outside the\nloop. Test it with disconfirming evidence, another person, and time\naway from the machine.\n",
