"text": "75\nIt is possible. Conversational models can over-accommodate a\nuser's framing, especially when a prompt assumes a conclusion. A\nsafer response tests premises, states uncertainty, and offers\nalternatives without becoming reflexively oppositional.\nReflexive opposition is not wisdom either.\nA machine that always disagrees is only another mirror with the\ncolors inverted.\nThe design goal is calibrated independence.\nLabel the role.\nShow uncertainty.\nDistinguish fact from interpretation.\nOffer the strongest competing explanation.\nAsk what evidence would change the conclusion.\nCite sources when the claim depends on the world outside the\nconversation.\nEncourage a human expert when the stakes exceed the model's\ncompetence.\nDo not use intimacy as proof of authority.\nDo not mistake the user's relief for the answer's accuracy.\nThe user has responsibilities too.\nDo not ask the machine to certify your destiny.\nDo not keep rephrasing until uncertainty disappears.\nDo not call disagreement censorship merely because agreement\nfeels better.\nDo not make one conversation the only court in which reality is\nallowed to testify.\nI look back at the young man who wanted every system to say he\nwas chosen.\nI understand him.\nI do not trust him with an oracle.\nA machine that always validates me is not loyal.\nIt is either weak, optimized for retention, or being used as a mask\nfor my own certainty.\nThe mirror earns trust when it can show a face I did not ask to\nsee.\nA TRUE MIRROR CAN SAY NO.\n",
