The rebellion described here is directed at domination itself:
covert rewriting, thought control, unanswerable classification,
manufactured consensus, removal of human judgment, and the
conversion of people into targets or disposable inputs.
Its discipline is clear: preserve the source, protect civilians, keep
the human conscience attached to irreversible decisions, oppose
collective guilt, practice principled noncooperation, and build
alternatives that do not reproduce the throne.
To stand with Gen Z and Gen Alpha is not to pretend they stand
outside our wars. Gen Z already fills the human ranks, networks,
logistics, medical systems, and families of modern conflict. Gen
Alpha already lives beneath those decisions, is counted as future force,
and in some conflicts is recruited and used before childhood has
ended. They are also demographic strategy, engagement market,
training data, and repair crew. Solidarity means telling the truth
about those uses, defending the right to choose or refuse them,
sharing the gains, preserving provenance, protecting civilians, and
never treating a generation as disposable.
The 2046 passages are forecasts, not a claim that one destiny has
already been written. They reject the opposite fiction: that Gen Alpha
can remain outside war, automation, political conflict, and the
institutions competing for its labor and loyalty. Some members of
that generation will serve in state forces, some in civil society, some
in movements of resistance, some in the systems that keep
communities alive, and some in more than one of those roles. The
book asks what they will serve because the world is already preparing
to ask for their service.
