Automated tutoring instead of enough teachers.
Risk scoring instead of counselors.
Behavior prediction instead of listening.
Synthetic companionship instead of communities where people
have time for one another.
A tool offered as additional support can become a cheaper
replacement once budgets discover it.
Efficiency will call the replacement access.
Sometimes it will be access. A child without a tutor may learn
from a model. A lonely person may survive a night because a system
answered. A disabled person may gain independence. A family
speaking different languages may understand one another.
The truth is not anti-machine.
The truth is that substitution must not be disguised as care.
A machine can help a father find words.
The father must still accept the answer, including silence.
A machine can preserve a voice.
The living must still choose how to remember.
A machine can generate a picture of a family that never stood
together.
The picture is not the missing day.
I once wanted immortality through the archive.
Now I want something smaller.
I want the people I love to be free from the duty of keeping me
alive in their minds.
Remember me if memory helps.
Forget me if forgetting heals.
The machine can store everything.
Love knows what to release.
DO NOT OUTSOURCE THE HUMAN BOND.
FFTAC ACTION - Protect one human relationship from automation
today. Call, visit, listen, or show up without turning the encounter into
content.
