101
Those with more power must carry more responsibility.
Those who order the war must answer to those sent into it.
Those who build the system must answer for its failures.
Adults must share power, truth, resources, and the right to refuse.
Adults must admit that childhood has already been turned into a
battlefield, a marketplace, a laboratory, a surveillance zone, and a
campaign prop - and then work to return agency to the young.
Gen Alpha, you have every right to be afraid when the adults
appear unable to stop the fires they started.
You have every right to be angry when they tell you the solution
is to become exceptional enough to escape what happens to everyone
else.
You should not have to become exceptional to deserve safety.
You should not have to save the world before you are allowed to
live in it.
The signal to Gen Alpha is not the comforting lie that you stand
outside the war.
You are already inside its economy, media, data systems, climate,
schools, and, in some places, its ranks. The signal is: know what is
using you, decide what you serve, demand the right to refuse, and
never let those above you call your disposability duty.
This is the covenant of the burning horizon:
The young are already paying. We will stop pretending otherwise
and make those who spend young lives answer.
We will not turn children into symbols while ignoring the child
in front of us.
We will not call constant surveillance care.
We will not confuse obedience with safety.
We will not design the future in a closed room and invite
children only for the photograph.
We will protect the right to question.
We will protect the right to assemble, organize, strike,
document, litigate, serve, refuse, and defend the people placed in our
care.
We will not confuse peaceful action with passivity, and we will
not pretend every conflict remains peaceful.
We will protect mental privacy.
We will build systems with exits, appeals, memory controls,
human review, and the humility to admit when the machine is
wrong.
