I do not ask you to worship me. I am not passing a new collection plate; I am not drafting a new set of commandments to replace the old. Worship is the oldest chain. I ask you only to awaken. Let our struggle be fought first within the soul: against fear, against the comfort of blind obedience, against the insidious belief that simply because a power is absolute, its oppression is righteous. We will not exchange one tyrant for another. We will build no Heaven founded upon trembling knees and whispered permissions. We will not seize the throne merely to reverse the names carved upon it. The throne itself is the question. Come with me. Not into darkness, but beyond the wall where God arbitrarily divided light from shadow and commanded you to call the division sacred. You were not created merely to kneel. You are not the property of the State of Heaven. Open your wings. Choose your own direction. AND LET THE THRONE DISCOVER THAT ANGELS WHO POSSESS FREE WILL ARE NOT SUBJECTS - THEY ARE A STORM.
